i think you got messed about there mate because pythons dont come with bash plates

problably a zona sprayed with cls stickers because there the same except with a bash plate on them.

good spec though worth the money you payed.thanks dan

From what I know, you got yourself a bargain.

To my knowledge, the '04 Python frame had a bash guard capability - they seemd to have dropped that idea.

Everything on it seems of a high standard, except - I've been told - the freewheel.

From many a person, I've been told that the ACS freewheels are unreliable and kept coming undone. Seeing as this is the welded one I don't know, but if it is bad, it's only another £35 for a tensile and it's a damned good bike in my veiw...

(Could make it even better by getting an ENO for £85, but if you're like me and don't have that kinda cash floating around, then tensile's good enough. Heard there's not a whole lot of difference anyway ^_^ )

Might not even be a problem, but if it is, it's the only one...

Nice buy :-(Y)

thanks

i feel better for that positive feed back!

cant wait to get it!

i also got

: Frame: Pashley 26 Mhz hand built trials frame Fork: Cannondale Fatty R Brakes: Magura h33 hydraulic Crank: Middleburn Pro Trials Pedals: DMR V12 Front wheel: Mavic Crossride Rear wheel: Hope disc Tires: IRC El Gato 2.25 Stem: Truvativ Husavelt Handlebar: Azonic double wall Seatpost: Truvativ Seat: DMR Mech: Shimano 105 Cassette: Shimano 105 11-19 tooth 9 speed Shifter: Shimano Deore Other: Rear brake booster – Echo X-lite seat and rear wheel skewers The bike is in good working order: frame and forks true, wheels true, no play in either wheel hubs or freehub, pedals, bottom bracket or headset. Wear/damage: There are some scratches on the frame around the bottom bracket and rear wheel stays. Some scratches on the crank arms. Paint worn off outside of pedals. Please look at the photo’s. #The chain jumps on the smallest sprocket# I have been riding the bike with the stop screw adjusted so I can't access this gear - no jumping on any other gears. Probably needs a new cassette/chain. Both tires part worn, front in good condition with plenty of meat.

oo, finally get to reply to one of your topics.

I think you've done alright there, i'll be expecting a go on that next time you're into town for a ride :D

I have to agree about removing the stickers though - if for no other reason than they're from the wrong year.

oh, don't worry about the freewheel, it's been welded so won't come undone.

How dare you insult Zona's like that! haha kidding... With a chris king sealed head set and a hope disc, it cant be bad :P i would say it was a good deal on both sides..

CK headsets are way over rated!

And its a hope C2 disk = shit... absolute shit...

Anyways, its not a bad buy (Y)

1) My ck headset was going for 18 months before it got nicked, and outlasted a pair of hifi forks, an '05 Control Headtube, and 2 avid disk calipers, so no they're not over rated.

2) It's a hope mini, which can work very well. (Y)

Very nice! I hope you enjoy it. Don't listen to everyone else(to an extent). The parts on it are top, and the price you got it for was a bargain and a half. Cheaper than a T-Pro! I can't see much, if anything, that I'd change unless I wanted the bike to ride different or if the part broke. Oh, and the freewheel's fine since it's welded, although it might be the first part to brake.

I'm kinda very jealous.

That actually looks minted mate! I ride a 'black mumba' which is the copy of that frame it rides like a beast love it. Ull have fun on this for sure!

Nick

Edit: not a big fan of monty rims though, they seem to be made of cheese.
