In my area you have to look fairly "hard" to have any chance of keeping your bike, this means wearing hoodys etc. its ok if your older like 18 or so but the 15-16 year olds round here are lethal for trials bikers!

The word Chav is mis-used so much. Why do people have such a big problem with someone that wears tracksuits? To be honest, there must be an equal mix of 'Chavs and Emo/scene' that cause trouble. I don't see why people dig so much at 'chavs'.

Ok, fair enough, there are a lot of chavs that do cause trouble.

I'm not a 'chav', or an 'Emo', I'm just a bit tired of people calling someone that wears tracksuit a chav.

Is it just me that finds it's mis-used?

The problem is there are too many trend followers. Kids with ecco an schott hoodies that are in the scene of being 'hard' and emo's that are in the scene of... well... being emotional? :$

(I'm not actually sure what emo's take pride in doing? Their hair maybe.)

Anywhoo I've met plenty of pricks from both sides of the spectrum. I'll try not to be too negative right now, and say that I've met many really friendly nice guys both in the 'chavvish' and 'emo' culture, willingly to help you out etc.

So basically what I'm saying is the people that dish out this agro are from an extreme part of the spectrum and trying to prove something? (small penis?)

I'm happy to be central and rarely experience trouble from anyone.

Im tempted to see what some of you guys look like, the ones that hate 'chavs'. Just to see if im being prejudice enough to presume that you have long hair and listen to nirvana or bullet for my valentine. Guess that'd make me a c0ck or something if I asked that of you.

I dont have a problem with chavs but when i am on my bike and i ride past them and i get a apple thorw at my head it does tend to piss me off. If i was to ride past a bunch of emos i dobt this would happen.

I think alot of people get problems off chavs this is why there is so much anger towards them. come on lets face it when was the last time there was a emo kid on the back of the bus giving you griff. Its always a chav.

Dont get me wronge not everybody that wears trackes and henry lloyde tops will start on you. i know a few guys maybe not friends but i know for a fact that they wont go around giving people shit.

oh and for the record i aint no emo.

Edit : and also i like to mention i like to get pissed and smoke and i aint got a problem with drugs.

I just dont like it when i get agro off people for no reason.

Im with you all the way mate, why does it honestly matter, the way some people see it is, "oh hes a chav hes got lacoste trackys, traniers and jacket, who really cares, its just proves that some of us can afford decent clothes, instead of all these "real" chavs who walk around in tesco two stripes with them tucked in football socks, with there cap so far back on there head if a gust of wind blew it would be 60ft behind them.

I dont really honestly care if people think i am a chav, the reason i get classed as a chav is because i ride in trackys, lacoste trainers and a rockport t-shirt or something along them lines most of the time, also what makes it more of the illusion that i am is because i smoke, woopy f**king dooo, end of the day people if you ever see me on a ride i couldnt give two shits what you judge me as, most of the people on here will no i am not just some little chav trying to do trials because you have all probably seen my video's posted on here, so at the end of the day i could'nt care less how somebody dress's aslong as they are ok with me, then everybodys happy.

i think that the disliking of certain trends - all the anti chav/ anti emo stuff is as much of a trend itself. I say, to each their own, as long as my onza stays in my possession I think that people should be defined by who they are, not what they do or wear.

Theres a big difference between dressing in a stereotypical "chav" way and behaving in a stereotypical "chav" way, i reckon there are as many "metallers", "emos", "rockers", "punks", "jocks" who all behave in the same way, but are just dressed differently. This is by no means a generalisation of the above trends, im just pointing out we cant assume how people will behave, based on evidence of how they dress.

I don't think there is a problem with what people wear. i don't give a sht what you are wearing to be honest i will still speak to you. I have just started working at homebase and there all chavs there but i still go out for a drink with some of them.

i think theres 2 types of chavs.

1 is were they wear tracksuits, lacoste trainers and sportswear but they dont cause trouble and are sound people but the other 1 is where they go around just roaming the streets, hanging around corners and just smoke and have no respect for anything.

i wear "chav" stuffs sometimes like trackies and that but im not a "chav".

i hate people that instantly think your a chav because you have something that makes you look like a chav but on the inside your actually not.

It all depends on whta you see as a Chav, i call the local BMXers chavs, because they have all the characteristics of chavs i.e. intimidate people in large groups, vandalise things like bowling greens.

They are pikies, but they wear skin tight jeans and big sunglasses.

yes, i've done it before.. didn't come out too bad, i'd not hesitate to do it again.. especially if they were trying to rob my camcorder like last time. All i got was a bit of a swollen lip and a painful rib for a couple of days... got to keep the camera too
