Rich Pearson
Aiight,Had to wipe my computer the other day as a virus nearly destroyed my whole harddrive. So every program and file I had got put onto a removeable hard-drive before the computer got wiped so's I didn't lose anything. Getting all the files back on has been no problem, but with Sony Vegas 6.0, things havn't been running all that smoothly. The first problem I had was a lack of serial key but I managed to find a keygen and sort that out. As soon as I did that the computer told me that Vegas 6.0 had to be reinstalled. So, I go into the files where the installer is kept, open it up and begin installation. Everythings fine, until I get to a screen which looks kind of like this: at the top it says: There are unmet requirements for the Sony Vegas 6.0 installationIt then gives me a list to select and 'install the required components.'On the list there is only one thing, 'Microsoft DirectX 9.0c Runtime.'On selecting this and then trying to click instal or the next button it tells me that 'Vegas 6.0d requires at least DirectX 9.0c'.......which is the only thing on the bloody list and won't let me select and install it!However, on running 'dxdiag' to check out the specifications of the Direct X model that I have, it tells me that I've only got DirectX 9.0bDoes anyone have any idea's how I can get round this problem? Can I delete DirectX 9.0b and replace it with a new version of 9.0c?I've tried basically everything else and am running out of ideas!Any help appreciated.Cheers Rich
Danny
Download and install 9.0c from the microsoft site http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=enor here if you dont wanna do the whole validation thinghttp://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/directxdownload.html
Rich Pearson
Yeah I tried that earlier Danny and for some reason it makes sweet sod all difference. The dxdiag still shows it as only having version 9.0b Rich
Krisboats
Have you got any recent computer games? Something along the lines of far cry or half life or something... there should be a directx9.0c installer on one of those, maybe it'll work. Rich Pearson
Nope, havn't got any games.I'm just wondering if someone can tell me which files to delete that are directX 9.0b as there are lots of files connected to DirectX and I don't want to delete anything important that I can't replace with DirectX 9.0cCheersRich
