Ash-Kennard
I basically bought some brand new coust pads (non-cnc'ed) and i have read reviews on here claiming that they are very loud and bite really well. but mine aren't like that, mine are totally silent, bite crap, but lock well still. this is pissing me off. although it makes me sound super smooth i can't trust my brake for anything worth doing.they are on a medium grind, and have been used constantly for about a week and a half, and suggestions? Mark W
I had one Coust pad on, and one Koxx Green. I'd been running a pair of greens previously and my brake was really good, but I wanted to try the Cousts out. Bought the material, cut 'n' made them, lost one, then threw that on. Had 3-4 rides during which my brake was shit. Put the other Koxx green on - all good. I'm still not sold on Cousts. They bite OK, but the hold ain't all that. Ben Geary
All the bikes i've been on and they've been running the Coust pads. Well, there brakes have been preety shit to be honist with you, they've had no noise and no bite and the lock wasn't to good either, I don't see what all the fuss is about them, there rubbish. All I can recomend is to sand the pads down a ml or so and your rim a nice fresh sharp grind, if that don't work i think it's time for some new pads.
