ghosts_cloak
i find that i can never ride on my own cos i just get so bored.i always go out with a few friends but never on my owndoes anyone ride on there own alot?JKHi I have just been out on a ride by myself today! Infact, every trials ride I have ever been on since last october when I started (bar one ride) I have been by myself. I only usually go out for around an hour or so, a couple of times a week but Im not bored yet.Sometimes I manage to persuade my girlfriend to watch which makes things more fun, as it gives me more confidence.Today I was riding in a deserted carpark behind a building, so I dont push it for obvious reasons!I need to meet up with some guys off the forum and go for a group ride as I think riding by myself is definately holding me back, I should be better for the time I have been riding!Gareth
Connor
i can ride on me own for hours but the fact is im scared for my bike, and myself, me and gears had a bad run in with some chavs in scarfs i cant ride my own area with out being nervous
craigjames
i always ride on my own or wiht my mates who skate. no one i know round my way (burnham/bridgy) rides trials. mind you its good because no one can show me up but i reckon i dont improve like i could because theres no one to push you. its not oo bad i can go out for ride for a few hours by myself quite happily, strap on some tunes and just go with the beat. its not so badcraig
Davey
I don't ride by myself very often because I always ride better when other people are riding too, kinda motivates me to push myself I guess!Riding by yourself just aint the same, because when you pull something big/smooth there's no one there to go "Yeah, sweet"!!!Davey
B.E.A.U
i dont like riding on my own. When people look at me i feel wierd and i cant push my self and i feel crap. I do go out on my own sometimes. But most f the time with olie and tom.
An_toin3
I always ride on my own 90% of the time ! Probably because we're only 3 riders here.., 1 that doesn't ride a lot ! and the other one is now having fun on his BMX ! Only time I'm not alone is when my mate who does Parkour comes !I have to admit that it's boring sometimes
James_Porter
yep, i ride on my own pretty much all the time... unless i meet up with goddard, wheeler which is about once a week.
Walleee
About 50/50.Sometimes I want to go out and practise the same thing alot, which would be boring for anyone else if they were with me. I can spend an hour easily on a set of rock's but usually if im out with other's I feel under pressure when they've had their fun to move on, then we when do move on perhaps they are going to something which I can't do, so I end up sitting watching, cooling down and such.On the other hand it's allways great to get out with other people especially if they are much ebtter than yourself as your more inclined to be shown larger stuff and perhaps give it a go. David
I ride on my own all the time as theres no else who rides round here. It really is shit, I havent improved at all over the past year easily I reckon. Its so boring, even thinking about quitting.
Janson
always on my own. unless i go far from home. things will change now that i am moving.
Luke Rainbird
Due to the fact that I'm practically the only under 40 where I live, a lot of my riding is on my own when around home, however, this summer I've started riding in Plymouth a bit more with a few guys (Alex, Prawn, Kieron etc) which is cool as before that I hadn't ridden with trials riders.Alex is a similar sort of level to me too, a little better but that's ideal as it gives me something to aim for and push myself which is always a good thingHowever, I know what you mean about lone riding being boring, especially when the riding around you is as limited as here! chrishayton
i ride natural quite alot on my own. its good because you can spend as long as you want trying the same line without people wanting to move on. its quiet too
Barbra
i never ride on my own really. If i intend to ride on my own, i'll ride my home town for like an hour or so, then when i end up at the skateplaza, i just start talking to bmxers that are there. (the ones that arn't willy obviously). Not a dig at all bmx'ers but the majority of the ones up here are so far up their own arse they wouldn't dream of riding/talking to someone who hasn't got a seat on their bike. threesixty
tis indeed well boring but i guess its good to practise the odd trick here and there. find i never push myself when im on my own and i wont get any better!
munkee
I could deal with riding natural alone, but not street.
Dan6061
I sometimes ride on my own, but just becuase I get bored at home, so I pop out for a bit.Nearly all the time I'm riding with Rich who lives up the road, or I knock on my mate who skates, and we just go to the skatepark fr a bit... zoo
I love riding on my own...i can push myself at my own pace then.I am beggining to like silence when i'm going for something ...It is nice to ride with other people though so you can try show off to one another,or push each other...and if people who you ride with aren't as good as you,it's nice knowing you are helping them, and in a years time they will be loads better than you.zoo baby! Fishy
I sometimes ride on my own. Around my town, but there are quite a few local riders. about 5 of us locally, Gerrard and John Evans lives not far away from me at all. Sometimes I prefer to ride on my own, refect on what I've done like through the week, and just have some private thinking time.

Greetings
I often ride on my own. It's only then that I get things done. For instance if a riding spot gets boring, you don't have to convince everybody to move on, you just go where you wish.
Mark W
I often ride on my own. It's only then that I get things done. For instance if a riding spot gets boring, you don't have to convince everybody to move on, you just go where you wish. f**kin' word. Plus, if I'm having a fair few goes at something I can just keep on trying.Mark + mp3 player + bike = Happy Mark. Obviously it's nice to have people to talk to sometimes, but it's not bad to ride on my own at all. I find that just setting myself a "One scary line per night" rule means I get shit done
