An_toin3
So here's the deal, My frame is a yabaa bow and there is a huge tire clearange, I run a DX-32 ! my problem is that when my pads wears, even though my pistons are placed to the maximum, TPA is done at the max too ! my lever is still near my handlebar !There are plenty of pads material left in it !, but because my rim is too narrow for this frame, I have to buy new pads everytime even though they are still good ! the easy way would be to get a wider rim ! already had an echo and I killed it in less than 3weeks ! Try-all.., well it's too expensive for me !Is there any way to make the pads go further ? like adding something to the backing ? I don't know ? need help there Thanks Edited August 14, 2006 by An_toin3

Try-all rims are only £38 so that is not too bad because i think echo are £35, so there is not much difference, so just get yourself a try-all rim, although they are made of cheese, but hey see how you get on. Danny Kearns
He wants it so his pads are closer to the rim not further away.Dan.
Heatsink
Turn those Tensile mounts around and it will bring the brake closer There's also the classic "Pad Bodge" which involves attaching an old pad backing onto your current pad using screws. Historically this was used when the first Level Bosses came out with around 100mm spacing between the mounts but everyone still was running narrower rims.Bruiser1 (RomanR on OTN) did the set-up above ^^ Full details: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....mp;hl=pad+bodgeSteve
Mat Smith!
You sure you don't need a re-bleed aswell?Mat
An_toin3
Thank you so much Mr Heatsink Gonna try that !And I don't need a re-bleed because If I put new pads in, my magura is working very well ! The tensile mounts seems nice.., where can you buy those ? I checked Tartybikes ans Selectbikes, none of them ! if the "pads bodge" doesn't work ! I might try that.. JT!
He wants it so his pads are closer to the rim not further away. You turn them upside down you twasck. They will be on tartybikes soon enough, but if you want them now phone supercycles.Selectbikes don't trade with Onza. They're off-set so the maguras can be made closer to the rim, or further away.
