Fixed Pants™
Elo all... i'm new to trials and i want to start off with a cheap beginners bike that isn't going to break as soon as i get it, http://www.discountbicycles.co.uk/biz/section.php?xSec=12 are any of the bikes on this page any good? because the only other cheap(ish) ones that ive seen are on tarty bikes and they're £250, and to be honest i dont really want to pay that for a bike that i'm starting off on. i've also seen a Da Bomb mod on the fs forum for £100 but i'm not sure if hes still got it.cheers in advanceI was thinking of this, it looks pretty trialsy lol http://www.discountbicycles.co.uk/biz/prod...909&xSec=12And any other advice on what to buy would be greatly appreciated:) Edited August 13, 2006 by 49ccminicrossah

aener
I'm not the most experianced trials rider atall, but personally - even if I was to want a stock bike - I wouldn't buy any of them.I myself have never heard of the site, but as I say, I'm not an expert on it.... yet.I would go with what everyone else tells other newbies and have a look on eBay... Better off getting something half decent second hand, rather than paying the same price for something first-hand that you could very well have have pulled out a cow's arse...That's my thoughts anyway...Flipp
JT!
shogun gimp is a chavs bike.Chave bike, or excellent bike for people who want to get into trials, and don't have much money?
Barbra
depends where you come from JT Round here they're considered chav bikes. As chavs are always seen on them aroond these parts.

lawrence osborn
Hey dude, Welcome to the forum and just remember put quality and effort into your posts and you should be validated in no time! Well I would say don't ever get a saracen as they are really rubbish bikes although thats my opinion and someone may think different, also the Shogun gimp is a very hard bike to learn on and will hold you back quite allot. If I was you I would try and get the Onza t-vee they are worth their money, i started on one and it lasted ages it was a brilliant entry level bike! Hope you get the right bike and keep at it.
ruckus_street
Yea, i agree, Onza Tvee is an excellent beginners bike, im still what you would call a beginner (although, hans rey had better watch out cos i hopped onto a 16 inch wall yesterday ) and im still loving the bike. And its cheap as chips too! Just keep and eye on the headset needs tightening up every now and then (loosen stem bolts, tighten the bolt on the top cap), and dont have too much faith in the brakes, as they'll take you by surprise, slip out and send you right onto your ass! (yes i may have done that off a foot high-ledge, but we all gotta start somewhere!)
