Mark W
You sure the bearings aren't paired up, so they're right next to each other? e.g. 2 at the non-driveside, 2 at the drive-side, 2 in the driver? I haven't stripped a Profile before so that's just a guess, but it seems to be a common method BMX companies use.
Egg Fried Rice
thats what it looks like, the bearing on the non drive side in on the sheel so its not on the pictureJK

Mark W
Are they still using the Chinese bearings for the driver, or is it the good qual Japanese stuff throughout yet?
Egg Fried Rice
Are they still using the Chinese bearings for the driver, or is it the good qual Japanese stuff throughout yet?that i dont knowim soo confused, i cant seem to get the bearings out of the driver and the bearings look smaller to the ones that are visible weird.i think it would be best to just send it to PROFIlLE and let them service the whole thing.what do they do in the service? do they change the springs, pawls and bearings??thanksJK
Mark W
From what Olly C's told me of the services they've done on his hubs, they basically do whatever needs to be done then rape you for the privilege

Mark W
I seem to remember they said what needed doing would be like £40, but ended up charging him £125-ish and replaced most of the stuff in it. That obviously doesn't happen every time though, so just give Profile a call maybe and see what they say or something...

Mark W
Like I said, it's the only time I've heard of that happening. What actually needs doing to your's, or what's up with it? Do you just need to change the bearings or something?

Mark W
That's not too bad in fairness, you could always give it a go yourself first? If you f**k it up, just send it off to Profile and they'll sort it out for you. I can't remember which bearings you've said have gone, but just tap whichever one you need to sort out out of the hubshell/driver (check there's nothing holding it in place or anything, but I don't think there will be...), then tap the new bearings in. For springs and pawls, just buy some new ones from Tarty?
Si-man
Springs and pawls will cost you about £40 for the lot, f**king rip off they are!Bearings are about £25 I think, might aswell replace them all while your at it
