FULL EDIT: how many sets of bearings are in a profile hub? it says 6 on tarty but i cant seem to SEE 6 in mine

i can see one set on the non drive side and 1 on the drive side but i think theres some inisde the other section of the axle (where the pawls and springs are) but theres no way another 4 sets can get in there.

You sure the bearings aren't paired up, so they're right next to each other? e.g. 2 at the non-driveside, 2 at the drive-side, 2 in the driver? I haven't stripped a Profile before so that's just a guess, but it seems to be a common method BMX companies use.

Are they still using the Chinese bearings for the driver, or is it the good qual Japanese stuff throughout yet?

that i dont know

im soo confused, i cant seem to get the bearings out of the driver

and the bearings look smaller to the ones that are visible weird.

i think it would be best to just send it to PROFIlLE and let them service the whole thing.

what do they do in the service? do they change the springs, pawls and bearings??

thanks

I seem to remember they said what needed doing would be like £40, but ended up charging him £125-ish and replaced most of the stuff in it. That obviously doesn't happen every time though, so just give Profile a call maybe and see what they say or something...

i really hope it wont cost that much. i can nearly buy a whole new profile with £125 or one of dengs new freehubs.

That's not too bad in fairness, you could always give it a go yourself first? If you f**k it up, just send it off to Profile and they'll sort it out for you. I can't remember which bearings you've said have gone, but just tap whichever one you need to sort out out of the hubshell/driver (check there's nothing holding it in place or anything, but I don't think there will be...), then tap the new bearings in. For springs and pawls, just buy some new ones from Tarty?
