Hobnobs
My shitbag GeForce 4 MX440 is currently dying, so i need a new card of graphics. Preferably around £40 or less, as long as its decent. I think my brother got a Nvidia 5200 or something, and that seems fairly good for the price?Link away! Spikenipple
This is probably the best you'll get for that kinda money. It's a generation after the 5200, so it'll kick the shit out of it at anything and everything.
Hobnobs
Hmm, cheap too. I think i'll buy that unless anyone knows of anything better. I dont mind spending a few bob to get something which will be better in the long run.
Tomm
5200s are pretty terrible - probably not much better than what you have, certainly not worth the money. When I "upgraded" from the onboard (nForce 2) graphics to the 5200, performance went down. So I sold it and got a 9800Pro. If you can stretch to one of those or a 6600le or something, that would certainly be better than a 6200 which is pretty basic.
Spikenipple
The cheapest 6600le is around £50 which is above budget as in the first post I used to be able to play Battlefield 2 at 1024x786 with everything on low at about 40fps on a 5200 so they're not thaaaat bad, and then the 6200 is even better.
