padarik
would make it alot weaker but doesn't drilling any thing make it alot weaker e.g rims . bashs , if you drilled everything you could i'm sure it would save a good amount of weight in the end. its always seemed a bad idea to me though cheers padarik
Greetings
The holes on the bashguard shouldn't affect the durability in the slightest, nor should those on the cranks. How much this guy has gained drilling these holes is another matter.
Ali C
might not be worth it for everyday riders, but if your at the worlds against a whole load of like minded people, if you can get an edge over them, then it can be worth saving weight, maybe not to get you an extra inch but to keep you going for for 20 more seconds in a section, that can be invaluable! RLC
looks alrite in the bash, it shouldnt weaken it to much because the holes are in the middle not on the end, so it wont weaken it

Deonn h
bit silly for street you mean Yer . But... on the other hand would you drill monty cranks Lol there the weakest out there. My friendnever rides street stupidly drilled his monty cranks a crack started to appear shortly after. If you desperately want to save weight if you ride mod .. maybe run a bashring instead of a bashguard. Also running a front maggie in most cases is lighter than a disc?Buy some light pedals ? instead of drilling.Drilling your own holes in rims is slightley better than drilling cranks imo. Ali C
yeah, not sure drilling the cranks is worth it unless your under 10. Also your not allowed bash rings in biu comps on mods needs some carbon holes, that would be super light

adamtrials
he lost enoth weight go and carry his house keys with him when he rides LOLWhat? Personally i think weight saving is great, ive just shaved nearly 2lbs off my bike by changing tyres, which gives me a roughly 9kg stock Edited August 13, 2006 by adamtrials
Clarky
Makes your bike look a mess dont do it, just buy decent parts in the first place not heavy turds, if people want a really light bike with no compramise just check the weight of things before you buy them.
