Sam Nichols
I think the only trials specific parts on my bike is my rear hub/rim and my cranks.. Oh and the frame.Everything else is mountain bike type stuff.
Sponge
Technically thats a downgrade as last year F1 cars were running V8's.However using engineering magic they have managed to get the cars to go faster or as fast as last year Havent you just bought a ZHI frame? For the next 5 years at least I can see that whatever Deng decides to do with his components will set the standard for the rest of the companies.EDIT: Just to add to my point sponge (copied from your profile)Zhi ZM1 frame, Zoo! Lite fork, Kris Holm 19" rim, Profile gold rear hub, Zoo bar, Echo Team stem, Zoo! Pads and RJ Green Pads, F&R Magura HS33s, Creepy Crawlers, Echo forged cranks, Echo 18t cog, Echo grips, Onza VP pedals, Onza carbon booster, Shimano UN53 BB, Echo gold headset, Yide front wheel, KMC Kool chainContradictions ***!!!Ah, but you see, I didn't say I won't ride with any Deng products did I . Yeah I'd rather have something like a Leeson, but that doesn't mean I despise using CNC'd aluminium Pulo stuff . I'm on the cheap, so Deng stuff it is (for now). Jez
I would like to see more versatile trials bikes as components and technology get better.Perhaps the perfect freeride/trials bike. For example a bike with a small chainring up front and yet still a full range of gears, maybe using hub gears or something?Light suspension forks with a lockout feature?Telescopic seatposts? When (if) it happens, I'll be straight down the bank. That's effectively what my first few stocks were. 32T ring and trials/jump components all round EDIT: And I'm happy in my Deng-free world of Saracen/Base. But then again, I was never anal about all of that. As long as it feels right, I don't care. If Apollo made a trials bike that felt right and didn't fall apart, I'd ride it. Has anyone seen my shoe?
Ah, but you see, I didn't say I won't ride with any Deng products did I . If I had the money I think my bike would be near totally Deng'ed
Dan Clark
I have never once owned a single Deng product. And for the guy that said maguras are perfect, we have to get new, more expensive brake pads, take an angle grinder to our rims, and get new more expensive boosters for them to work, and then people still buy aftermarket levers and metal hoses because they aren't good enough.Maguras are far from perfect.
