MaD CAt
okay firsty thanks to the people who answered my last topic, so i decide to go out on my bike anyway and want t learn to balance on my rear wheel. Following the guide on the web (forgot the websites name) it didn't really help much because being new to trials i don't really understand what people mean when they say things so could anyone just give me a short guide on how to lift my front wheel in the air to a position on the rear wheel, thanks! trials_noob
Try here for a how-to guide, go to balance and then to rear wheel balance.Following that guide it'l come to you eventually, after that its just practise. Also some terms on that page that might need explained:Good foot - the foot you have forward when ridingThat should be it
MaD CAt
yh thanks but that guide on trashzen (something like that) dosen't really make it clear about how and when to use brakes, any advice on that?
trials_noob
Hold the brakes on whilst stantionary then let them go and pedal the 1/4 turn and pull/lean back, once your above rear hub pull the brake back on.Hope thats clear
bob87
When most people are starting out they do a little Endo before they start gap jumping.Doing an endo just before you start means that your bike should act like a pendulum and sway you back onto your back wheel.Once you feel the front end coming up towards you just add a little kick to keep the front end up.Simple as that really, just keep practicing until you can gap jump perfectly and be able to pull up without an endo at the start.Hope this helps you
