The enchanted broomstick
Howdy to all.... I have a nokia 6234 and have downloaded a game for it from the net. Now i dont believe that the phone will open it in the RAR format it has come in. Basically i want to transfer the game to the phone but only have a memory card slot for it (no cable, bluetooth etc.) However the phone will not open a RAR file and i really dont know what format it has to be in, or if there are in fact any guidelines i need to follow in order for it to work.If you could help it would be greatly appreciated, stu

The enchanted broomstick
cheers for the reply mate, i tried them in the .jar file as well but it seems to get half way through loading and just seems to stop and do nothing.I read on the net about using "Midway 2.8" to upload the games to the phone, problem is that this involves a COMM port and seeing as im using a card reader instead of a cable it doesnt work
poopipe
not sure about those phones in particular but it probably won't open the rar. you can get card readers for your pc for not a lot of money - probably less than a data cable for your phone.so, get one of them, unrar the rar using winrar and put the extracted files (probably a .jar and a .jad) onto the memorycard (in the appropriate folder ) and then you should be able to install it onto the phone.
