matt360
Hey, Decided to single speed my ashton got it all sorted apart from the chain tension. Use a kmc cool chain and when i use the split link it's way too loose even with the tensioner, but when i join the chain it's too tight. Anyone got any ideas?Ta, Matt
Mark W
I don't get how you mean, 'cos if the split link goes from male to male link, but if you put a "real" link in it'd be doing the same thing, so you're basically taking out or adding a link?Anyways, what tensioner are you using? bob87
Sorry i meant taking out a link and joining it.Using a fresh products tensioner. That doesn't make sense though.Sorry, i've got you now.So running with the split link it's to slack but when you take it out it's to tight? Janson
Use the fresh to tension the chain down and not up. Should work?
matt360
Yeah that's a good idea, already shortened and joined the chain though. D'oh!!If i got a half link chain that would sort it out wouldn't it? If so can anyone suggest one?Ta.
