New Members - Introduce Yourself Here !

Recommended Posts

Seeing, as some of you new members are being flamed for making an introduction to yourself thread and "clogging up the forum", Instead of making a new thread each time, all new members can introduce themselves in this thread instead.

Wooo someone took note of my idea (Y)

If this idea does work, wouldn't it be better asking the mods if it can be put at the top, as a sticky, so it doesn't have to keep being bumped back up? As everytime it goes off the first page people won't realise there is a thread for introductions, if they don't use the search.

There been about half a dozen of these topics now.

The big flaw is that once they go off the first page, new members don't know about them and therefor don't use them.

If one was stickied, it might work.

Could i just say something, these introduction topics are not really going to help you get validated any quicker in my opinion, but it might.

1. You contradicted yourself there, so yeah you can 'just say something' so long as it has a point. Otherwise, don't bother. ^_^

2. If you introduce yourself with a good, punctuated post, explaining how long you've been riding, what bike you have / hope to get, where you live, you will get validated on that post alone.

But people just come in and say "Hi, jus thort i'd post up and say hi because i'm new to the form." and that doesn't do them any favors.

Well i never really introduced myself so here goes:

My name is Scott i'm 15 and live in Coatbridge near Glasgow in bonnie Scotland. I am new to trials and have just bought a second hand standard spec Onza t-bird as my first trials bike, which should arrive next week. I ride alone at the moment apart from my wee brother, but he's not too into trials.

Also i'd just like to say thanks to some members who have been really helpful and tolerant so far in answering my questions and i hope they'll continue to be. (Y)

This thread isnt supposed to help people get validated, its a thread so people who are new to the forums can intoduce themselves, and other forum users can get to know more about people who use the forums and maybe arrange rides together etc if they realise they live in the same area etc.

Trials noob and monty boy, welcome ;)
