Interesting New Frame Inside

Nah, I just remembered before a frame had guides there that people used to whinge about. You won't have a cable on both sides either, seeing as there's guides both left and right sides of the top-tube :P

Ah so there is didn't see the one on the other side  i'm sure they'll make some kind of rubber frame to knee protection peice that will save some riders unwanted pain ;)

Whats with all these mods without bashguard mounts nowadays, thats one of their most defineing features. We've got mod-stock and stock-mods now happened to the normal bikes :P

Seeing as they've made one, and you havn't, i'd imagine they know more than you at least.

I doubt anyone went to the hassle of welding that on, it's most likely a catalogue componant that has had that guide put on at manufacture, before anyone even thought those tube's would be used for a trials bike.

True, I have never made a bike. I've also never written and book so does that mean I can't point out the faults in books either?!?!?

Joking aside, I wasn't aware that manufacturers used catalogue components, that would explain it, so for the third time I WAS WRONG.

I'll stick to what I know and say that I like the colour :P

Now that people are firing out bashes for FFW cranks, it kinda makes sense to run a lightweight ring instead of a big plate of metal with a big rubber elastomer, some other blocks of metal you've got to weld onto the frame and so on? They work well on stocks, so it makes sense to try them out on mods too. Bashrings sorta distribute the force of an impact to bash away better too, instead of putting the strain in the middle of your downtube and on the rear of the BB yoke? Either way, I'm all for bashrings :P

The other cable guides - nothing a file couldn't sort out ;)

Maybe the cable mounts are for if you want to run a cable disc or a vee-brake ? Mods with no bash-guards is how the future looks, espically with Marks point about FFW+bashrings pressure stuff. Maybe Cigeuna have thought this through more than we think...

The one on the right seat-stay isn't a cable guide though...

What else could it be there though? Unless I'm missing something! Looks like one, flat at one end rounded at the other!

The cable guides on both sides are so foreign people can have there levers the wrong way round and still run the cable down whichever side they want. If they've got cable guides for hat, they'll probably ahev some for V-brakes

Nah, because where would that cable be leading? V brakes are up the top of the seatstays, not all the way down there, and the disk mount is on the other side.... I still think Jake's suggestion was most likely, because there is NOTHING other than gears at that point on any bike!

I could be wrong but I don't think it's a mod frame:

1. Brake mounts look like stock positioning

2: I can see a gear cable guide on the gear side seat stay

3: I can see another gear cable guide on the gear side of the downtube

4: I can't see any bash plate mounts

It's a stock for sure!

Davey

number 2 : This is a guide for a disc as it looks :S aswell number 3

Number 4 : not all mods have to have a bash :S
