poopipe
Sorry man, but I've never seen a free wheel on a front wheel.then you've never lived seriously though. front freewheel is great cos the chain spins while you're coasting. apart from that there's cock-all difference unless you want to get techy about engagements, chainslack and weight saving. superstar
be carefull with changing or choosing a front freewheel as u mite not be able top fit a bash ring if your bb is not long enough. i run a front freewheel on my zoo pitbull amnd it does seem more responsive that the onza t raptor(rear free wheel) that mite be simply down to the zoo being a better bike are u talking about a stock bike by the way?thats what i have answered oncheers
onzatprodude
prefer free wheel on the front because if you have one on the back dont you have to run a big chain ring up front to get the same gear ratio?
lawrence osborn
I ride with a front free wheel and I prefer it lots more than a rear one.Rear free wheels: rear free wheels are good for beginners. The problem with the rear free wheel is, if you try to wheelie hop up or across something it is hard to get power compared to a front free wheel, but on the other hand it is good for natural as they are very sensitive and move with the slightest kick.Front free wheels: front free wheels are the business now the provide lots of power and are better to ride than a rear free wheel in many peoples opinions. In my opinion they feel as if they run better and for some reason have a better sound . The majority, if not all professional riders ride with a front free wheel so it is most probably better. But the only problem is they seem to break more than rear free wheels.I ride a t-pro with a front free wheel and like it much much more than my mates t-bird with a rear free wheel, also the good thing is they are almost the same gear ratio so you will not feel much difference the front free wheel is a bit tougher to pedal with, so if you have the money convert it, it really is worth it!
