squince
I have been having trouble with my right knee for the past few months now, Even when i have took a month break too get a stock too see if its any nicer too my knee. My knee hasnt got any better juring the break so i think im going too go to the doctors, what do you think? Im already taking cod liver oil capsules before anyone says . Then pain im getting is basically at the inside side of me knee and when i like flick my foot it feels as though something is being streched or trapped. Also i have not injured my knee in any way.I beleive its wear and tear and theres nothing i can do, if so i hate too say it but i cant see my being able too ride . Any ideas of what this could be or just generally any thing that could help?

poopipe
drinking extra water and taking cod liver oil only really work as a preventative measure, it sounds like the damage is already done to me.you probably need to get yourself down the physio for an assessment - it won't be cheap but they'll probably be able to sort it and there'll be no need to give up riding. But it won't be cheap, like 'poopipe' said. So i say make sure your new bike will be nice and ride-able, and then from the money your getting from your new job you'll be able to afford it, easily! Cheers,Joe.

Mark W
Knee AIDS, not Knee cancer Mine are a bit funny too. I take one glucosamine sulphate tablet in the morning and one at night and it seems to help shit out. Could just be your cartilidge is a little skew-iff, so they may just have to clean it up (arthoscopy or something, ask Bongo, he's having it done ). Gavyn.
any form of lump under your knee if so could be osgoodslatters i have it and as the doctor explained it, the tendon pulls the bone further out over a couple of years then becomes sore because it gets too far out.best advice you'll get is if you go to your GP then at least he might be able to diagnose it. Luke Williams!
it sounds like inflation of the tendons i have had it just went to doctors and its seems to be right now, its basically over working of the joint, called tendonitus or sommet else which i've forgot go to the doctor he will check it properly and probably give you some tablets to stop the inflation which are mint and send you to a physio

Mark W
Your Doctor will probably tell you to take anti biotics thats all my doctor ever tells me. Our doctor just says "It'll go away."My Mum got pluracy. He said "It'll go away." The pluracy got so bad she was coughing so hard she cracked several ribs, and almost ended up needing to spend a few weeks in hospital, but they gave her some strong antibiotics and she was fine... anzo
Sounds like a plan Will probably phone up tommorow, My Doctor is actually an idiot so seriously considering going somewhere else Check with your Ma and Pa to see if they have any health insurance and go private, it'll cost you nothing at all and you'll get THE best treatment.Being young, do not leave it. If it hurts to ride, stop riding, its not doing it any good and you'll probably be crippled when your older and then wish you hadn't bothered. (Do I sound like your mum now?) PaRtZ
I hate going to the doctors. Its just a waste of my time. I organise it with work and my mates to go see him and he says "oh well because you're young you're body can repair itself quickerEG:When i was 14 I pulled the muscle which connects the knee cap to the top of the shin (didn't know there was one but ah well) so went to the doctors and he said "yeah keep using them but don't overstrain" now 4 years later I have a double knee and i can't kneel comfortablyI'd go to the doctors because im not stereotyping and saying they're all shit, cos your local doc might actually help you. From mine + Mark's post though, just don't go to a doctor in wales.......
