Gaz M
ever since ive had the bike the backwheel flexes all over, it did it when it had a echo 06 rim on and now it does it with a dx32, the rim flexes so much it rubs and makes a stupidly loud honk whenever i pedal and its super annoying, the bolts are uber tight and all the spokes are very tight too no loose ones, the frame is a echo 06 pure. just wondering if anyone has any ideas what could be causing it cause im completely baffled it seems like ive tried everything

Mark W
Broken axle? Generally feels OK 'til you put it under certain loads, which sounds like what's going on with you?

Mark W
(EDIT: This is to CBProductions ) If they're really loose it will, but if it's a King it's probably a snapped axle...

ramps
Sorry to rob your topic but, I have a Hope XC and my back wheel usually does this, the wheel is true but under heavey pedaling or hard turning the wheel rubs on my frame. My skewer is tight so i dunno whats going on.

Krisboats
How could I tell, I thought that the skewer is the axel, dunno though, I'll just ride it balls to it.Take the skewer out and have a look at the thing the skewer goes through... a hollow tube. THATS THE AXLE.If its snapped you'll be able to see a crack inside it if you hold it up to the light, or you might even be able to pull one side of it out.
