B.E.A.U
Hay all tried a gap in notts off the wall over 3 steps to a bench and i held my front brake and because i hit the floor with so much force and i'm fat the seal broke and the little thing you can screw in and out to make the lever come in or out further doesn't move so now my lever has come to the bar and doesn't work. Do i have to send this to hope or will a bike shop fix it for me. or could i do what i thought. Which is take the lever off screw the thingy in right in so the lever doesn't come back as far and then use it or will that not work. Thanks guys please help. Chris
Don't know if I got it right... but I'd say the main problem is the broken seal. So you mean the seal right under the reservoir cap, right? If it's that, then this is the reason for the lever coming right to the bar, as the brake fluid just pushes through the seal and there's "no pressure on the brake"... So I'd say you just have to get the seals fixed.

Chris
You could do that by yourself as well Just get a new seal (if that is the part causing the trouble) and rebleed the brake. No need to send it in, just take it to a shop... Edited August 6, 2006 by Chris
