The Duck
Sorry if I'm a bit behind the times... but dont the rotors just snap when your running a rear disk?Cheers
philking
Sorry if I'm a bit behind the times... but dont the rotors just snap when your running a rear disk?CheersNo, not the rotors, the main problem was the frames snapping because of the massive force placed on one side of the dropouts. However, bike companies finally realised this and started beefing up the drop out areas and adding extra braces and gussets at the critical areas. Hahahahahaha.

Owen
No, not the rotors, the main problem was the frames snapping because of the massive force placed on one side of the dropouts. However, bike companies finally realised this and started beefing up the drop out areas and adding extra braces and gussets at the critical areas.Although now that they've got their acts together and beefed up the tabs, other parts are probably going to start breaking. The Simtra has super strong disc mounts, so much so that calipers/rotors are breaking instead of the tabs. Supposedly, a Simtra team rider has snapped three Avid calipers while riding it, while the tabs are still rock solid.
