Mark W
I'm looking to get some replacement headphones for my iRiver, 'cos I've raped my current ones. I'm looking at these Creative EP-630 headphones, but does anyone know what they're like? For that matter, does anyone have any other recommendations? They have to be in-ear, and under £20-25.Thanks for any help Mark

Mark W
The Philips come with 3 different sizes too, and are £20 cheaper though, so they're a little more tempting. Found on eBay for pretty cheap too

Si-man
Ive just got some Sennheiser CX 300, f**kin ace sound quality, £40Also, i've had the sony Fontopia ones for £40, just as good but the cords made of rubber an slices easily, mine lasted a month before they died.Best ones i've had were some panasonic in ear ones for £35, had 2 pairs an they lasted me about 7months each. chrishayton
the sony ones that look like the philips are far better. i ve had both and the philips are crap. im using normal ipod headphones at the moment and they seem pretty good. the sonys had the edge though but they are too delicate ( broke two pairs and at £30 quid a pair its not good) the ipod ones with the rubber ear bits are pretty damn good. get them or the sony. Wrayvon
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00081A...8&s=gatewayThese are truely AWESOME! And they are now like only a 5er Honestly, nicest sounding ear phones i've ever had, and i've had a lot! You get some seriously nice bass from them too!wray
pinky
Ive just got some Sennheiser CX 300, f**kin ace sound quality, £40Same as mine but I got mine for £25 , Really good sound quality sit in my ear really nicely (they hurt when you first use them)
Si-man
Grr, mum got em from the ipod shop when she was in london, they were supposed to be £50!!!Only downside is the wire compared to all the others i've had is really thin and about a foot long
Krisboats
I can't beleive everyone has been paying £40 for the sony headphones. Amazon do them for £26.94 with free delivery. These are by far some of the best sounding headphones available and beat any other similar styled ones by other leading brands like panasonic (lacking bass), philips (constantly sounded tinny until the left earpiece broke after 2 weeks of use), and the ipod ones are atrocious... you'll have to really fiddle with your EQ settings on your ipod/similar unit before they sound remotely decent.Sony's all the way for me, by far the best sound and an amazing amount of bass on them. If you close your eyes its like standing in between a pair of top end hi-fi speakers

Egg Fried Rice
The Philips come with 3 different sizes too, and are £20 cheaper though, so they're a little more tempting. Found on eBay for pretty cheap too i have those earphones and i used them for 2 mintues because they was SOOOO uncomfortable! the headphones them selves are huge and they do not fit very snug into the ear very well.the rubber buds have edges on them and they make you ears really sore.even with the smallest rubber bud it was still very umcomfortable and irritating.i got bought the in ear ipod apple headphones along with my ipod about 1 year ago (until it got nicked) were immense!. amazing blockage to background noise and extremley comfortable. the rubber buds are very soft and delicate to the ear unlike the philips. the rubber will fold/ squash into any shape of your ear. also there is 3 changable sizes like the philips.the sound quality is also amazing on the ipod headphones. with both headphones in, it will feel like your in a quiet room listening to a top of the range sound system, with very minimal background noise.i dont know much about the other one but i would say go for the ipod apple ones, definitley well worth the money.JK Edited August 6, 2006 by J-KAY
Mark W
The sound quality with both in doesn't affect me too much, just 'cos I only ever have one in anyway. It's how I've rolled for forever, pretty much, 'cos my right ear's a funny shape compared to the left, and headphones just fall out. That's not the only reason though - the only time I use my mp3 player is out riding or on a train when I always have one ear un-phone'd so I can hear what's going on around me. Thanks for all the posts though everyone

Janson
Mark.. Get some Shure E2c phones.. They are a bit pricey, but sound quality is amazing, and they also double up as on stage monitors, so you don't have to use horrible monitor speakers when performing. Mark W
Dixons and places like that do 1/8th to 1/16th inch jack converters (or whatever the numbers are. I'm pretty sure that regular headphones are 1/8th inch...)?
