basher
the new style maguras are ok but the tpa's are dodgy and you cant bodge them like the old ones. i would just say get an old one, as to fix a tpa on a new lever its 15quid as you have to buy the hole lever blade. mike ahrris
my mate snaped two 05 mgura levers.
Ross McArthur
Yea the old ones are better imo because the insweep of the new ones hits my middle finger when I pull the brake, but the old ones have a better out sweep.
Broomer
Personally i cant feel any difference between them, the only noticable difference is the lever is ugly compared to the older models.
RLC
the new maguras are very good, and now you can buy new levers that increases leverage and brake power by 7%.
bob87
Definately get an older one.My Leeson came with a 2005 one the front and i hate.Power wise there is no difference but the levers are annoying. The lever sits to far back so it cramps my finger because i have to hold it in a different position. It's ajusted as far out as it goes and it still sits about 20mm away from where i normally hold it.Just get an older one. Adamant A1 rider
When the new style Maguras came out I still had a pair of old style ones and I thought that the new ones were shit and they always broke because of the funny angle the hose came out. But when I got my new bike I decided to get and pair of the new style ones and they are so much better than the old ones. Hope this has helped, dan.
