Royal Mail..whats Going Off?

Did you go into the post office and do it? Seeing as they're dicking around all the tariffs now if you did it it may have been wrong with the new postage?

Every time I've had issues like this it's either said that the person wasn't there to pick it up, or it's arrived back at my place weeks later. Did you put a "Return to sender" address?

I wouldn't have thought it would be due to the reshuffle.

Isn't that only to do with letters and whether it's a parcel or a large letter.

I may be that someone forgot to put in or sent it to the wrong depot, so it may be a bit late.

Who knows.

No need to get hormonal dear.

No need for a post like yours thou in all fairness, You don't know Andy so don't accuse him of stealing. Twat.

What time did you send them Andy? When I sent my wheel to hope it didn't go because of the time, then stuff got placed ontop of it and didn't leave my post office for 2 days.

Hope it all sorts out for you (Y)

But you were being a twat saying something like that without any evidence to suggest that he would have done that. We do live in a innocent until proven guilty country you know

That's why i'm still innocent... lol

I'm posting a disk brake today - recorded delivery methinks!

i work for the post office and i can tell you that the new system does not come in until the end of august.

for everyones information, here are the standard delivery times and prices.

1st Class (up to 60g = 32p NO max. weight) 1-2 WORKING days INCLUDING SAT - (recorded delivery costs 68p extra and DOES NOT guarantee any delivery time, all it does is tells you when it has been delivered by way of a signature on delivery)

2nd Class (up to 60g = 23p 750g max. weight) 3-5 WORKING days INCLUDING SAT - (recorded delivery costs 68p extra and DOES NOT guarantee any delivery time, all it does is tells you when it has been delivered by way of a signature on delivery)

*** 1st CLASS ITEMS ARE INSURED UP TO THE VALUE OF £32 & 2ND CLASS UP TO THE VALUE OF £23 ***

STANDARD PARCEL (20Kg max. weight) 3-5 WORKING DAYS - Extra insurance available up to the value of £500

SPECIAL DELIVERY NEXT DAY 1PM - Starting at £4.10 (10Kg max. weight) Sat delivery £2 extra - Signature upon delivery and you can track and trace your item throughout its journey. Special delivery items are handled seperatley and more securley to other mail items. Insurance is available up to the value of £2,500.

I would have thought that's all the services people on here would use.

anyway cleared that up!

** When the new system comes in it will only change prices, not delivery times. In most cases it will be cheaper to send. The price you pay will depend not only on the weight, but the size of the item you are sending. for more info go to this page.

cheers

Dan

Along the same lines, I sent my Leeson to the buyer yesterday with Parcelforce guaranteed by 12 noon next day, and guess what? It didnt arrive (N)

They say its in Coventry at the moment, and it should be in Inverness!

Rubbish!

Gareth

Yeah it was me that bought it off him.

The reason for it not arriving is that they say it is impossible for them to deliver it to Inverness in 24 hours.

Read my post in the Angry Thread and tell me what you think of what they told me.

How is it??

Surely they can stick it on a train and pick it up there?

Exactly what i said to the D**k on the end of the phone.

I could have gone down on the train and still have arrived back in the time it took them to get it here.

It arrived in Inverness this morning and when i went down to collect it the woman said i hadn't paid for 12am delivery, instead it was 24 hour. I DONT THINK SO!! I'd printed off a copy of the trace i did on their website and it CLEARLY states at the top of the page: Next day 12am.

EAT THAT YOU F***ING COW. She thought i was an idiot and got dealt with!

I also told her that even if i had paid for 24 hour delivery the bike still wouldn't have been here on time.

By my calculation it took 43 hours roughly. So Parcel Force can F**K off if they think this is acceptable.

Fair enough the bike is here now but that isn't the point, i paid for a service and they didn't perform.

WHERES THE F***ING MANAGER? COMPLAINT AND REFUND NOW!!!
