dbtrialer
What freewheel would be best on the back of my stock.I want 16T so i will be running 22-16.
JonCongreve
The best freewheel's are the ENO's, although i'm not sure whether or not you can get them in 16t.Just to let you know....22:16 is a very high gear, i used to run it, but didn't get on very well with it.I now run 22:18, which is fairly easy, and many other riders use this ratio.Plus i'm pretty sure you can then get the EnO freewheel in 18t.Hope this has helped
A!!
I would agree and definitely say an eno. I have recently got one and they feel and look awesome, it's a great piece of engineering. They do need a bit of time to bed in, but once it is you shouldn't have any problems with it, they just need the odd clean to keep them running smooth. The eno's only come in 18t though, as far as i know.
Joey B
nope you can get them in 16t and 17t. Here they are on eBay: 16 Tooth17 Tooth Edited August 3, 2006 by fugigas
A!!
Ye but i dont think they are the heavy duty ones, that you would need to use on a trials bike. On sideways cycles it shows the heavy duty one (the green one) in 18t onlysideways cycles

Joey B
can u visibly tell the difference between an 18t heavy/light duty freewheel?? Edited August 3, 2006 by fugigas
Dan6061
An ACS Claws will be fine on the back. They only come undone on the front, because the lockring undoes itself when you pedal. But because the freewheel is being ran the other way round on the back, it wont undo itself.I think an ENO will undo itself on the back, becuase of that reason, but reversed? Same for the Tensile FF, and Try-All one..
A!!
Ye the trials ones have the green lockring. If you check tarty bikes and scroll down the news until you find the picture of the eno, it says they are available in 18t only. It explains a bit on the different colours here white industries
poopipe
I think an ENO will undo itself on the back, becuase of that reason, but reversed? Same for the Tensile FF, and Try-All one..not true - apart from the tensile bit eno's screw on the same way as ACS they just aren't shit so the lockring does what it's supposed to - they're fine on the backthe try-all has the lockring on the wrong side or something so it probably won't undo at either end of the bikeer. yes, the trials 72EP eno is green you can only get the normal 36EP eno in 16/17t
