El Cristoff
pro: excelent stoping powercon: puts to much tention on the back arm
T-BAD
PROs: good brake... CONs: snap the rotor, bend the rotor, cost loads, i would'nt use one unless i got new frames free every time they snapped adam don't even think about buying one, because' i'll snap it for you... Willsey
best pro: buckled wheels don't seem to much of a problem anymore. worst con: your bound to snap it or bend i bad.. thats why most people don't use them in trials.. because the back wheel is nearly always lower than the front, and more prone to get bent.. willwithashton
Pro: better braking and easy to use when wheels are buckled.Con: easy to bend disc when trying sidehops.

yoyoyo
If you have a generic disk mount on the back i would try to avoid it. As it's only thrown on in case you want it, and puts a bit of strain on it the rear end.Should be good on something like a Simtra though. Mark W
He's right. Only use discs with REAL disc mounted frames, otherwise you'll snap it. I don't really like the feel of rear discs, it just feels a bit lifeless almost, like you can't really feel anything through it? Not to mention that with a HS33 if it starts to not work so well you can just throw some tar on or put a new grind on, and it's not really the same with discs. I'd say the feel was the biggest "con" of it though.
cason2k6
pro...awsum braking power con...if you side hop to the left you most likely 2 brake the rotor i cant wait 2 use a disc personally cason2k6@hotmail.co.uk
yoyoyo
I'd say the feel was the biggest "con" of it though. And if you land wrong and mess up your wheel. You'll always hear the pads on the rotor.
Onzaallen
Use the search, there are a few topics like this.I think they have great stopping power, but the bad things are......they stop the spokes rather than the rim if you get me, there is slight modulation so it will slip and could be scary if you do a high drop and land steep. But if you can have a shot of one and see what you think for you're self. Every one has very different opinions, just like front brake, some people like, disc some like magura and others like avid v brakes.

paolo
Pros, good power, more selection than just the hs33... Con, needs a the mounts and hub for it, I would prefer riding them on a stock or 24"er, because I think you'd have higher chances of hitting the disk on a mod then on a stock. Take in consideration wish way you tipicaly sidehop, also.
Trials Boy
Whats the point in a disc if you can get a magura for cheaper that can do exactly the same?
nickyw
"new to say"I wish i could run a rear disc.
theone2be
Great a topic where i can use what ive just found. This is clive leesons latest venture, the "2win disc"i know showing this is a bit off topic, but dosnt it look lovely and proof to you that rear disc's probely can work really well, i just hope that you side hop to the right and bending it wont be much of a problem.for a full spec on the 2win disc go here or check out ww.leesonbikes.co.uk
