Vasil
Sorry I wrote a bit confused...I done a few grinding and the top of my rim isn't so rounded anymore and maybe when it hits the tire makes snake
Dan Jones
The IRC El Gato used to get easier to snake bite (puncture by the inner tube getting squashed on the rim edges) as they got older, not sure if its the same for your tyre?Maybe its just a combination of your rim and an old tyre now. Matthew_Gibson
If you want to stop flats/snake bites, get yourself a Maxxis!
Dan Jones
make sure its a dual ply maxxis. Can you get a picture of the top of the sidewalls of your rim? Edited August 2, 2006 by trialsy

ScotchDave
Putting talcum powder or climbing chalk between the toob and the tyre also helps, provides a form of lubrication.
B.E.A.U
I even get snakes in my dual ply maxxis. But that could be because my tire psi is only 10 or
Ben Geary
Maxxis dual ply tyer and a Maxxis DH Tube and you'll never get a punture again, i've ran that for about 7 months and never ever had one punture.
