never gonna happen. think about how many people own bikes, many of which own more than one, there would be so many loopholes. plus what about children? wheres the point where you are no longer allowed to ride on the pavement? will they make everyone pass a lisense to ride a bike? i don't think so.

there's no way on earth I, or any one else i know would PAY to ride their bike.

one minute they are telling us to cycle more, next minute they are calling it a neusance.

next they will be using these plates to charge riders for speeding.

Ive started to ride to work again now, and lord Knows I break the law doing so, but thats 1 reason ive stop driving in.

I can skip lights and other traffic.

I know I shouldnt, but hey, bite me

Should start a massive petition to have that bill not passed.

Is it me though, or is Ken Livingston basically throwing down a manual or back hop challenge? If you tilt your bike backwards, they won't see the plate, so it's game on?

Pete Wright, Planet Earth MD.

Like piss will this get through though. Even if it doesn't, what are they going to do about people who don't get numberplates? If they're gonna say "We'll identify you on the cameras", then why the f**k are they wanting people to start running numberplates if they can identify people anyway?

Gaylord...

combat the menace of law-breaking cyclists.

In the scale of things in London, how are people riding bikes a "menace"? Does this fanny actually think about anything to do with real life? They should make him live rough for a week so he gets an idea of what it's like to live in London...

lol could be interesting :P

Imagine if we have to start getting insurance for trials. We'd be f*cked! lol

Value: High

Accident likelihood: Very high

Durability: Low

Attraction for theft: Very high

lol. All very silly

has it not hit you all that our bikes aren't legal so we probably couldn't register them which means we probably couldn't ride legally? IF this law goes ahead it's going to fooock us all over! Probably along with most BMX riders. I hate stupid laws like this, petition on the way lads! If all else fails - protest!

Also if we are riding street, then for a while we are riding on the pavement, and 'vandalising' the stuff we ride on.

So we would be completely illegal.

We won't be too bad off though if there as bad as catching us, as they are at catching illegal immigrants. :P
