Dan-Gadd
Hi there,Basically my Dad owns an engineering business (G&H Precision Engineering) and thought it would be a good idea to manufacture some trials components. We felt that a lot of the boosters currently available were badly finished and overpriced considering the their quality. We are hoping to manufacture a whole range of trials components in the future but the only component that we have currently finished developing is the brake booster. Take a look at http://www.freewebs.com/cylocomponents, if you have any questions please e-mail me on the address provided on the site.Cheers, Dan

Christophe'
hey , they "look" very good to me! do they fit all modern trials frames? ie what is the width? Put a logo on them (or something to identify its your company)Good luck!Sorry yep u got the widths on your site sorted lol Edited July 27, 2006 by VillageDave
Burton
You've got the right idea on the booster, except their is other boosters on the market that are a lot stiffer, for not much more. But it does look really neat The bash ring looks a little simple though. I reckon you could change a few things to make it really stand out, along with dimensions of it.Really good job though and i hope you make more shizzle
philking
Looks good, can you post some more better pics of them on here
Dan-Gadd
Thanks for the helpfull comments guys. So long as your brake mount spacing is within the width of the booster holes it should fit. However i'm not 100% sure that it would fit a mod that has a 48mm wide rim (echo) and a 2.7" wide tyre (monty) as this is the widest combination possible (i think). I'll try and get some more pictures up tomorrow. Were hoping to change the design of the bashring soon, the on the site was just produced to check that that the diameter of the hole was correct. Burton
so eh, where'd you get this ability to perform FEA from a picture?I doubt you've ridden, touched, or even seen this booster in the flesh. Its thinner than its competetors, and has less material. munkee
Its thinner than its competetors, and has less material. But brakes dont push upwards and downwards.. so thickness of material doesnt matter a great deal since you can just increase the depth making theoretical x-sectional area larger. TrashZen
Hey, really nice bit .What I was looking for when I bought my booster, was something well rounded like your design, thin, but with extra width rounding off around the bolts to really cover the hose plugs in the piston cylinders.None of the other boosters I've seen so far had these flanges. And it would have been different too.Nice industrial colours
poopipe
agreed - they look very nice. good price too a nice little enhancement for next time might be to countersink the bolt holes so it's nice n smooth all over but yeah - good job
bhups
They look nice and a fair price You could make some lever blades for maggies and stuff (just a suggestion) and maybe a professional website would improve business but yea on the whole well done. Synergy
hey what are the chances of building a booster to a custom length?
Dan-Gadd
Thanks for the suggestions guys! We hope to expand our range of products and would be looking in to making parts such as: lever blades, brake clamps and possibly cranks. We also aim to get a professional website soon. Just for you Philking i have another picture , it was meant to come up in this post, i'll try again .Dan Edited July 28, 2006 by Dan-Gadd
Dan-Gadd
Sorry about that guys. The picture was too big to be posted on trials-forum so i had to do a quick update on the website. You should find the new picture at the bottom of the booster page.

jimbo666
what about a 2-bolt booster?
philking
Cheers for that extra picture, it does look like a nice booster to be honest. Would there be possibilities of having them in more colours in the future? I don't know how the anodising process works - might not be that easy to do.Also the idea of brake levers and magura clamps sounds great, maybe you could also do snal cams, and magura maount to V brake mount converters. Just some suggestions Keep it up, and keep us posted as to how they do.
Dan-Gadd
Thanks for the suggestions Philking, we may possibly make a 2 bolt booster in the future but the four bolt boosters seem to be more popular. We still have about 15 boosters that are yet to be anodized, we can get them anodized in pretty much any colour, i was thinking it would be good to get some of them anodized silver as this seems a popular choice of colour for riders. Any suggestions as to other colours they could be anodized are welcome. Cheers Dan
