Diamond Dave's bike widow Posted July 27, 2006 Report Share Posted July 27, 2006 hi ive been on here a few times and now have decided to get a trials bike of my own previously ive used my partners t rex (well ive fallen off it anyway) but i cant get to grips with having no seat as i am used to mtb's :$ anyway i was wondering if anyone knows what a good bike would be for a beginer 5'2 medium build oh and comple lack of balance thanks guys p.s. dont know if this changes the bike i should get but ime a girl aswell Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rebelistic Posted July 27, 2006 Report Share Posted July 27, 2006 Why not go for a T-Rex, does the lack of a seat put you off?The T-Rex does have a mini seat option.It's unusual for a trials bike to have a 'proper' seat these days, most have mini seats or no seats.I don't know of any women specific trials bikes (unfortunately not many women ride trials ) but I think women's cross country bikes tend to have shorter cranks than men's.Hope you find somthing that suits Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tommy d Posted July 28, 2006 Report Share Posted July 28, 2006 lessons have seats and a full size option Yeah, I think a Leeson would be pretty good to start on, with proper seat etc. It might be a problem that it would be very expensive to get one all built up starting from scratch...I think the Saracen Mad is maybe the best idea, I have been riding one for a couple of years, as an almost-beginner and it's been brilliant. Plus they come as full builds.Also both those bikes are quite short, handy for a beginner and for someone who's 5'2". I say there's nowt wrong with girls riding.p.s. the balance will come! I'd say splash out a little and start on a t rex, they're one of the nicest stocks i have ever ridden, Very nice. Don't be bothered with a seat or without a seat because thats something we all have had to get used to, i had to get used to little wheels AND no seat.
