Mr_Pitbull
Basically im sick of smashing my driver on sidehops. its f**king up my lockring and causing my profile to jam up all the time. Any chance Profile make a mini Cassette which runs on the left side......if so im deffinetly switching!
Mark W
If by "opposite driver" you mean left hand drive, then you can run Profiles LHD I'm pretty sure. Either way - cranks? Or just buy a Coalition cog guard and run that on the drive-side?

Mark W
www.alansbmx.com -> search -> Coalition Cog Guard. You'll possibly have to file the little drop-out stop bit 'cos it's made for 14mm dropouts and you've got 10mm, so just bear that in mind...That's it on my bike, anyway... Mr_Pitbull
Deffinetly worth it! i could make a homemade thingy if not. I never smashed my profile on the monty or my old t-pro. its because ZOO! rear ends are wider. Really annoying.
Mark W
Sure it's not just the way that they have the sorta weird CNC'd drops instead of plate-like dropouts on Montys and T-Pros?
Mr_Pitbull
Not sure, possibly is though, on my Python theres a little sidehop plate which is designed for when you miss a sidehop and you slam straight down on it. That sits pretty much next to my chain. I've f**ked up a brand new Profile in a matter of weeks. i will take Pictures of the Lock Ring. Its destroyed pretty much. Mark W
If you mean on the right hand side, I thought that little bit was just so when you went to bash, because the chain's going to get pushed up towards the frame it stopped on that block first instead of snapping/stretching/damaging your chain by pushing it right up to the yoke? Shaun H
Buy Middleburns and go LHD! Your pedals might unscrew though That cog guard looks like a good plan anyhow.

boon racoon
or you could get tensiles and put the replaceable screw-in pedal thread insert things in the opposite side crankarms somehow? then the threads would be the right way?i'm not sure how they work
SCOTTY___
Biff, can you remeber that weird black plate Corish nicked off his grandad for his 05 red Monty to stop him breaking his profile? All you need is some Tough flat plate steel. It will weigh quite abit due to the durability and the properties of the metal its self, but its well worth it, and wont be too noticable, be like fitting a heavy'er chain.Im not at college till september, so if you wish making a tempary one for now, and soon as i get back i'le make you a pro fancy one Will be the dogs bollox and amd correctly due to bending degrees and shapes blah blah.Upta you mate ScottyP.S. Can somebody tell me where the hell the spell checker has gone

They're threaded so they go the same way as the pedals when you tighten them, so I don't think it'd work too well...

The only thing stopping me from completely destroying my profile is my KHE Chain, f**k me there amazing.
Mark W
Amazing apart from the fact the rollers crack like f**k, they develop stiff links and they almost seize up if you don't ride your bike every day? Oh, and they rust incredibly easily, so it's not great if you ride in the wet or ride natural anywhere near a water source... Tunni can sidehop mad high to his good foot side, so maybe follow his example?

Mark W
Could probably find some way of attaching it, but I was just thinking mainly about the pedal threads 'cos Matt mentioned them, but yeah, it'd be arse. LHD = NHD
mat hudson
i was thinking about it, ust have to helicoil the crank.
Mark W
Be hard finding the right helicoil to do it, then have to re-helicoil the pedal threads? You're boned on some frames anyway 'cos you don't have the little chain protector block on the left side...
mat hudson
chain protector block? is that a mod thing?

Shaun H
That's just for people who can't afford bash plates though.
