It's strange, I always thought that the idea of a straight through frame would be a good idea, but worried that it'd like one of them 1980's scooters I had as a kid; it looks worse, they may aswell just have got a plank of wood & attached wheels either end..aesthetically, I wouldn't notice the difference - maybe it's there attempt at a DIY bike frame that'll help get low pay riders to buy into trials, nip down the local 'Focus Garden Centre', give it a lick of creosote & you too can have your very own copy for about 10 quid :ermm:

They'll be telling you to steal one of your Dad's best fence panels & the wheels of your sisters bike, on this weeks blue Peter - I guarantee it - "Next week kiddies, were going to be making a Koxx trials bike - here's one we made earlier..."

I've changed my mind -- I like bikes as they are..

I dont like the fact that the BB is literally just hanging off that big feck-off tube...And i dont like the hose routing...and the rear dropouts look a bit flimsy for some reason...

I do like the brake idea though, surely that's fecking solid?!?!

Like some bits...hate others...Still deciding whether it's quite ok or just shite...I shall see....

its a UCI comp bike DESIGNED for UCI comps..., how many UCI bummers do u see bashing there downtube?

yeah but one mistake and they could catch there downtube on a nice sharp rock and its got a really high bb, which haven't taken off in the uci comp scene.

I still don't like either!

Wasn't it Vincent's bike or someone like that who had a raped downtube? Or the Cousts or someone... Either way, in comps, it still happens? I still remember one of the YMSA comps which had a route where you basically HAD to scrape your bike in between two rocks that formed a V. Some people looked pretty upset after :P

Yeah, everyone comes up short occasionally. I might come up short on a 32" backwheel, whereas Vince will do the same on a 52".

Whereas if it's on the top or side of the tube (or in the tube...) you'll do well to hit it whoever you are.

Duh? You can't look at thin air and decide on how what you think of a bike. People will look at it, and think yey, or ney, either way, they look at it, don't see why thats so funny? :ermm:

If you saw some kid in a wheelchair with no arms or legs, dribbling, with half his face burnt and the other half covered in spots... Would you keep looking?

Probably.

its like looking at the sun. it burns your eyes to look at it, but somehow you just keep wanting to do it.

or is that just me? :P

anyway, what i was getting at, is that i have crapped out better looking frame designs than that.

It's just occured to me that koxx seem to be putting more effort into getting this off the ground, than has been going into getting kenny the bike he wants?

One thing at a time perhaps?

That's not really a fiar statement. We don't know more than a fraction of whats going on there.

Those clamps re more like standard one's bolted into the bottompart of the frame using allen bolt's but not attached to the top part in anyway.

Looking at this picture.. http://www.koxx.fr/media/gallery/uploads/H...81-DSCN0231.JPG

The bolt goes through the top part of the frame right the the bottem

Used danny's post and edited it abit ^_^

I think those holes in the top of the frame are just for getting your allen in there to sort out the brakes

And, just an idea, theres a hole in the frame to the right of "dream bicycles" (clicky) which i wonder if its for routing the hose through the frame, like the...vinco?!
