Bike Confiscation?

Hello gents.

I was out riding my streety jumpy bike today, we called in at the local cricket club at sat on the grass beside to have a drink and eat, i was sat on my bike. A caretaker (i guess) blasted over in his lil pickup, jumped out and shouted something which i can't remember. he then shoved me off the back of the bike and chucked it in the EDITpickupEDIT, he then shouted something about seeing the university council and blasted off in his lil jeep swearing his head off. I called father to explain what had happened, i then went to the police station (just round the corner) and explained what happened and she took my name and number, then said she'd call back later.

I dunno what i'm expecting here, discuss perhaphs?

Also for you legal people on here, i was in private area, do I still have a case sorta thing?

why didnt you just twat him one?

seriously if some willy punched me in the chest trying to opush me off MY bike for doing nothing wrong id make sure i made an effort to f**k his shit up .

that ius if "i hadnt done anything wrong of course"

no offence but it seems liek your not telling us something and if your not theres nio point in lying to us and yourself about something to get our sympathy.

you sure you didnt shout something, or mess up the field or anything?

You need to stick up or yourself somtimes mate, why didn't you grab his ball bag and rap it 'round his neck?

Don't wait for the police to do anything because they wont. Take the law in your hands its the only way you'll get it back thats what i'd do anyway.

Sorry, i didnt mean skip, i meant pick up truck van thingy. as for not telling you anything, the area was private and it turns out the has been lots of vandalising and just general messing around going on, however, been to see the head of sports (the guy in charge because its a cricket ground) and I got my bike back. He now apologises greatly for the workers behavior because my mum made it apparent that if she pushed it with her job etc the guy could end up with a sentence for child abuse and theft as he had no right taking the bike or even touching me. I also get to go to a meeting on Monday where he either apologises face to face to me or denies it and gets the cops on his back. anyway, i guess mainly the problem is solved now, I just really don't wanna go on monday cos its gunna be canny uncomfortable.

was there not a point at where you could have jumped into the pick up as the guy was climbing back into his truck and thrown your bike out??

Sheltered life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats what i would have done, however, its easy enough for everyone to say you should have smacked him back or tried to attack him but please bear in mind that keiron is only 15. Having a fully grown guy jump out of a truck and behave in a physically threatening manner is intimidating to say the least. If Keiron had have done something back whats to say the situation wouldn't have escalated and become even more physical?

And i know if someone had come up to me and jumped out a van, physically pushed me off my bike with enough force to leave a handprint shaped bruise on me i would be seeking some sort of prosecution. Even if you are trespassing he is in absolutley no right to do this to you because its physical assault plain and simple. Also as far as i'm aware there is no trespassing laws in the uk so even if you were on private property he couldn't do anymore than ask you to leave and in no way could he have been physical in throwing you off.

The fact that he HAS left a bruise on you whilst you were SAT on bike shows that he was aggressive and he could be looking at jail time for it plain and simple. Physical assault of a minor is hardly a light offence and you should get the police involved as soon as possible. Ring them and let them know what has happened and then you can choose whether or not to press charges....

Or..... look at an out of court settlement? or compensation? Why shouldn't you get some sort of compensation from him. If burglars can get compensation off people for falling over their furniture whilst in the process of robbing them its not out of the question to look into it for yourself. At the end of the day you could use the money to pimp your bike out, or buy something nice for yourself/your family.

Or if your too nice a person just let him know your seeking legal action and let him worry his arse off about it for the next week or so while you do absolutely nothing about it. The suspense and worry about him facing charges of assault should be enough to keep him worried for a good week or so, quite an ample punishment in my eyes. Nobody can be harder on you than yourself when your worried.

Definately report it to the police though, just so its on record. This guy might try something like this in the future with more severe consequences and you informing the police about this occasion might help them judge the guy more accurately in the future.

I feel you could have done something other than go tell your Mom! At 15 you shouldn't be taking shit like that....although maybe I'm basing it on the 15 year olds I see in Liverpool.

All sounds a bit big/girls/blouse to me! Sorry, I do hope you get your bike back....and maybe a set of big hairy man-bollox for your B-day!

Krisboats makes a good point. On the other hand, blackmail sounds pretty good from where you are at the moment :shifty:
