mr_gubike
SAVE YOUR MONEY.... Heres what to do,Just get a bottle with a screw on lid, like a lucozade energy bottle. Then get sum normal magura pipe (if you have any spare) Make sure the pipe is fitted on to a bolt, the one where you screw it into the piston. Then you need to cut a hole in the lid of the botle, just wide enough so the magura pipe can fit through it. Make sure its tight or else water will leak out......Then fill the bottle up with water, screw the bolt into the piston, screw lid onto bottle neck and tilt water up and push on the bottle to force the water out..... Works like a charm (Invented by a little crutter called monks)Cheers,Abdab
boris_on_trials
I don't think so. Just buy a bleed kit there not that expensive and it would be worth it considering you can reuse the pipe and syringe. Just give the oil to some one els. You could try the doctors they have those types of syringes there, they use them to make little children drink medicine in stead of injecting them. Ross McArthur
I suppose if I can get a drill bit the correct size of the hose that would work fine and I do (I think) have some spare hose about that I could use. Il give it a bash thanks!Alternitavly I could ask my mum she should be able to get me a siringe from work. or one of my smackhead friends could lend me one!!! just joking.thanks. BIG L
Or here's what else you could do to bleed your magura with water.1)Get a bath.2)Get your magura off your bike and hold it over the bath.3)With the magura over the bath take it apart.4)Keep pulling the lever and pushing the pistons to make sure all the oil is out off the brake.5)Swill the bath out.6)Fill the bath up so your magura can go all the way under water.7)Fully submerge the brake.8)Keep pulling the lever and pushing the pistons to get every bit of air out.9)Once you are sure you have got all the air out, put the brake back together under water making sure you get no air in it.10)Put it back on your bike.Water is a thinner liquid than oil as a result of this water will make the magura have a sharper and quicker feeling! Magura Hoses are plastic.Basically all the insides of Maguras are plastic, just spray some WD40 on the pistons when they go shit.

It won't matter much if it is washed down with alot of water, but brake fluid will soften paint, and it might mark the sides of your bath.Bob

Also mr_gubike (abdab`s) way also works well as ive seen them do it. Edited July 20, 2006 by Deonn h
