eskimo
Like the title says, will my Profile RV 10mm bmx hub fit into a 26" frame. I couldn't figure it out as I couldn't find any measurements.Cheers
King C
I don't know what the RV stands for but I'm pretty sure mods and BMXs both have 110mm spacings and stocks have 135mm spacings.
BONGO
whats an RV hub mate?!?If its a bmx hub it will not fit an MTB. MTB is 135mm spacing and bmx is 110mm.RV???
eskimo
It's a mini RV. You know with the mini bolts instead of an axle.

eskimo
Full name. Profile Mini RV Cassette 10mm allen bolt.So why RV then?I'll look on the Profile box tommoro to see if said anything on there.I'll still go with race version though. Makes sense? Another quick question..I can't find anything about rear Eno freewheel? Are they the same as the front?
spangler
Someone somewhere has been lazy and has abreviated (Race version) for RV
BONGO
fair enough, thats a custom riders description not a profile thing. everyone was right lol. you do indeed have an rv hub even though profile never named any hubs RV lol.Profile mini officially. It still won't fit a 26" bike though!john

Greetings
I can't see why it won't fit a stock? Get some long bolts, have a turner make you spacers which will give the hub +25mm width. This hub hasn't got an axle which rests in the dropouts, it's the screws which rest in them. Or else, make a wider axle?I saw people ride these hubs in stocks but it's apparently not uncommon for the hub body to snap
King C
If you put 12.5mm spacers between the hub and 26" dropouts then the chainline will be all pissed. If you put a 25mm spacer between the non drive side of the hub and the dropout, the hub will not be centered and therefore wheel will not be centered..... Unless theres another way.(^thats just me trying to be clever, Im probably wrong though)

Mark W
Not to mention you'll cane the driver by having all the pressure put on it without support from both sides. I think someone called Tom on here tried doing it once and it all went to shit. Not a great plan to be honest...
eskimo
I'm not really into bodgin stuff to much anyway. If it isn't designed to fit then don't put it on.
