Bigman
Righty at my summer job there isn't realy any where for me to store my bike so i am keeping it in the car, today, and a few days last week when it was hot i have taken my bike out of the car after work and the front brake has not been working as well as it has done in the past, it is a 203mm BB7 with the original pads, i am wondering if the heat has somehow affected my brake in any way so that it has decreased in power........ThanksAdam
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
It might have.Try firing some water on the brake, and see what happens It should solve it You should try keeping it in a cool place (or the front wheel/brake in a cool place... if needed...My brakes have been poo aswell since its VERY hot!! dave85
Real heat can make lube run out of the hub bearings, but I think you wouldve noticed that happening. Avid pads just dont like heat, in any form
MSM
Just a thought: The heat we've been having most recently has been accompanied by lower atmospheric humidity than the previous hot spell. Lower humidity seems to affect the discs on my bike. My brakes tend to be a little more grippy when the humidity is a little higher.
