MikeCottTrials
i dont really know wtf your on about but if you mean your basic tap then DO NOT hold your front brake that will cause you some harm just start pedalling later than you would to back wheel something and from there youve really got to go do it yourself YOU LAZY CAKE Edited July 14, 2006 by MikeCottTrials

MikeCottTrials
it was just a question... because some people hold their front brake when they taping on the wallwell nobody i know does that. think of it this way your charging along with your weight forwards do you really want to hold your front brake, if you do its just complete craziness
chrishayton
it was just a question... because some people hold their front brake when they taping on the walldo you mean where you ride at a wall, hit your front wheel on the way up and land to back wheel? if so DO NOT use the front brake( unless you want to land on the front wheel).tap technique is basicallyride at the wall at jogging pacetry to pedal consistently ( time your pedals so you dont have to stop pedaling although this is not a necessity)lift the front wheel with your bad foot and continue you pedal and as your front wheel hits the wall your good foot should be in the up position ( but at the same time continuing to pedal so theres more force hitting the wall due to you pedaling into it.)as you hit the wall, jump!lift the bike under you using the momentum from the wheel hitting the wallto tap higher you have to tap low, lean into the tap ( lean forward with weight towards the bars as you tap then lean back ), crouch low on approach before the jump. and speed helps
TomN
I only press my front brake after the tap. Although doing a tap without pressing the front after a tap kinda makes me fly up the walls better...
Luke Williams!
here good tip for you dont even put your finger over the front brake helps out loads just grip the bars with yoru right hand forget about the brake all together
