planet-x-boy
Right people, I want to know if i can scale down the size/quality of the clips i am using in my video. At the moment the picture plays very large and fills up the media player page. What i want is for the picture to be smaller and play in better quality.I know this will be possible on big editing softwares like adobe etc but i can only use windows movie maker. Does anyone have any ideas?Cheers, Brett.......

Krisboats
When you save the movie file choose some custom settings and change the resolution down from what i would guess to be 720x576 to something like 320x240. Or change the pre-made settings option to "High Quality Video (Small)"That should do it.

CBProductions
www.download.com get a convertor trial , and when exporting out of movie maker use dv pal. If it doesnt allow you go get a trial version of ulead or adobe elements then try it that way. So yes you do have access to editing programs if you look and think
Danny Kearns
Have you got usb 1 or usb 2 ?Because i am automatically presuming you have a dv camera (dvd quality) ?If you have usb 1, the quality is going to be shit because it is not powerful enough to transfer that sort of data.If you have usb 2, its should be no problem. If you do result in having usb 1, just nip down to somewhere like comet or pc world and buy yourself a firewire cable and that does the trick.Movie maker also downgrades your quality shit loads, so invest in adobe or pinnacle. Dan.It wont help if he doesnt have a firewire port an movie maker only downgrades it if you tell it to... invest ing in adobe or pinnacle isnt neccesary until you grasp the basics of video and then feel you need to progress your knowledge

mr ailsbury
In movie maker...file.save movie file.just go through that till it says ''for best quality playback on my computer'' (recommended).click other settings out of that list of 3.out of that pull down list choose high quality video(PAL).then change the size of the file, make it smaller this makes the actual video appear in a smaller screen when played on windows media player.just try that and see iff it gives you the desired results
