Ingrowing toe nail you mean?

i had bad set of fititng workshop boots many years ago and they squezzed my feet together and i hit a groth spurt and got it on both my feet. it also goes with not cutting you toe nials right i got told.

had a salce of nial down both side of both toes removed but problem came back a sim on my feet a lot.

One of me missis mates is a manicurest thing so i get a pedicure now and then..stops the problem and its rather nice actuly

it's great when it get that mega nasty smell and they give you some magnesium paste.

You wack it on and ocver it up, it draw the puss out and drives it up or ment too. All it did on me was make a huge boil so i squezed it and shit when everywhere and no more pain, wlel for an hour. it came back again bloody thing.

Oh and if you need ltos of sugar...you could be diabetic so be careful of your feet. i get lectures off the nurse about it which sucks but meh i give in of toeing (no pun) the line. If you stub you toe you can get gangreen and die ..well extream but usally lose toes, feet/foot then leg etc

I had one because I cut my nail to low and left a point where I'd cut it which slowly grew into my skin. It was like that for about 2 months getting worse and worse, eventually the only way I got rid of it was to once a day soak my foot in warm water and Detol. That stops any infections, and also it softens the nail meaning you can get something under there to lift the nail away from the cuts, eventually doing this frees the nail. Hurts the first few times but it did work and I've never had the problem again. Careful about what you use to lift it though. You can get this plastic thing designed for it which has no sharp edges, might be worth going to Boots and having a look around.

Mike.

Either visit your friendly local chiropodist for an expensive lasering thats semi-permanent, or have a long bath/footbath, get some decent nail scissors and take a thin section away from the sides of the nail as deep as you can bare.

Cut a small V snape into the top of your nail, this allows the nail to grow 'inwards' rather than towards the flesh.

Put some disinfectant cream/gel onto the affected area and keep an eye on it.

If it gets worse, visit the chiropodist.

Only cut the nail straight across, rather than following the contours of the toe.

my toe nail flares sometimes at the top which hurts but i just cut right deep into the sides of it it hurts a lot while doing it like cuttin from the edge of 1 side straight downwards to the root of the nail

ok that may have made no sence.......

Ingrowing Toenails can get very nasty if you dont see to them immediatly. I had mine for 5 years before i went to seek help of a proper chiropodist, not one of these NHS jobbies :D.

During the time that i had mine i tried to do a DIY fixxism (is that a word?) and it just got worse each time i tried it. I had them on BOTH big toes and so walking was a problem for me. but the worst thing about it was that i had them from the age of 13 through until i was 18, so i never really got to do the things i liked doing, like playing football.

I would recommend you go see a proper chiropodist, for all you have heard about it being painful it really isnt. The nurse just numbed my big toes and went right away at cutting them out. If you are squimish then take a newspaper or a book with you to read so you dont have to watch what the doctor is doing. you will feel the benefits in the end.

I had one on each side of each big toe. Thats four if you can't add.

f**k me they hurt some.

I went to a woman who basically cuts peoples toenails for a living and she got some pliers and snippers and just ripped the ingrown bit out. Forcefully.

I got them again a few months later, so I just did it myself like she did... Yes, with pliers.

When you have them sorted just make sure that you cut your nails regularly and cut them STRIAGHT accross and not curved and you'll be safe.

Having them sorted WILL hurt though. FACT. Take three neurofen and a couple of paracetamol before you go in, so your as numb as a rock when your sat in the chair.

edit: Forgot to say, it is pure bliss to walk after you've had them done. It really is instant relief :ermm:

I have had the same problem. What i was told to do by a doctor was file the top so its thinner and there is less pressure pushing to the sides.

Also dont cut them or rip them. Go to a foot doctor if you can, they can do surgery if filing doesnt work.

filing will take a little while to work, surgery wont let u ride for a while.
