Robwalker
I dont suppose anyone could show me a picture of a 32h Rim with a 2 cross spoke pattern! I need to get this wheel built asap, anyone help please!!
Mark W
I laced my front wheel up 2X, but to be honest a pic won't help you too much simply 'cos it looks so much like 3X. Are you building the wheel yourself?
Robwalker
Yeah, i orderd the spokes from tarty and they sent them, i tried building 3 cross, which i can do, but when i looked on the reciept it said they were for two cross pattern, i was just wondering as i learnt to build 3 cross by coppying another wheel, and i was going to give it a shot with this. Ive looked on that sheldon brown website but i couldnt find much. Thanks
Mark W
Basically, assuming you're building it correctly, when you come to twist the hub, you just turn it a lesser amount, basically. The length of the first drive side and first non-drive side spokes you put in will mean you can only really spin it a certain amount, and then the length of the spokes you're putting in will basically make it pretty obvious which places they go in
Robwalker
By the sounds of it i dont build the proper way, i just get the two top spokes on one side in position and build onto that from what im looking at. Thanks for the help! Dont suppose anyone has a pic, please?
Mark W
Just try building it the "proper" way It's really, really easy, and you'll be set to build whatever lacing pattern you want afterwards. It's straightforward enough, and you get a good build at the end of it. If you go to www.gsportbmx.com and try and find the wheelbuild guide there you should be fine. If you can't find it, I can PM you how to do it or something
