rider
Hi,I recently swapped a bmx for a leeson ET24. Its a good spec but I have a big problem, the rear dropouts are twisted. A hole was made by the last owner to compensate for the wheel but the wheels sits at an odd angle. The wheel also needs a rebuild which i feel might have resulted from the angle it sits at.I don't have enough money to replace the frame. Is there any way of fixing it??thanks for your help.
_skj0lsvik_
Send it back to clive(?) leeson and force him to fix it for free! Nah, I'm kidding.. No idea.Rob your dad or something!

basher
it would help if you could get a picture up of the drop out for everyone to look at and then people can give better advice

phil white
for the cost of a telephone call to leeson you could be surprised as to what you may hear, just give them a call and explain your situation/ ask what they can do to help.at least you'll have a solid answer, people on here won't really be able to help you with this problem.give them a call mate. adamtrials
I'm afraid that i think thats an ashton ET24, which is an aluminium frame, meaning you will probably have to bodge it. Your dropout modification sounds like the best idea. Is the frame cracked at all?Almost all the et24's left have cracked i think. Are you sure it isnt just the wheel that is badly out of true? rider
Its starting to crack around the downtube joint on the head tube. The wheel is trued straight with a buckle or two. I was thinking of rebiulding the wheel but true it over to one side to compensate?
adamtrials
I was thinking of rebiulding the wheel but true it over to one side to compensate? That may or may not work, depending on how badly it is bent. How much rougly did it cost you for the bike, i.e. how much was your bmx worth? If you were sold it as a leeson then i'd speak to the seller as a leeson 24 frame is worth several hundred pounds but a cracked ashton is worth less then £50. The rest of the bike is very nice though. Edited July 11, 2006 by adamtrials
rider
Its alot of swapping that started out costing £250. Went from a trials bike --> bmx --> Hard tail dirt jump --> bmx --> to this trials bikeJust confirmed its an ASHTON ET True the rest is great just needs an un-cracked and un-twisted frame!!
