Better Option?

I have recently cracked my T-pro majorly on the downtube, runs from one side of the downtube to the opposite point on the other side! (N):( I would like to know if it is worth getting it welded and heat treated (cost and strength) and who has had experience of this, or whether I should buy another stronger second hand frame?

Thanks

New frame matey, rewelded frames will eventually brake again. Get a zip or something, i heard zips ride nicely :P

You see I don't understand taht part because TIG welding will actually be stronger than the frame was before??? :ermm:

keep responses coming (Y)

It will just move the stress to a different place if im not mistaken , and anyhow if you've done that to the tpro I would suggest maybe a different frame and something a bit more robust. In my opinion I would go for a new frame out of simplicity. Toxsin mod long is nice :P

In al honesty I'd get a new frame too. Welding is rarely 100% strong and equal whereas as metal, a granular material is more likely to, as craig said, displace stress more evenly.

Sorry if my logic is flawed btw lol

Zona zip is immensly strong btw ;) A fatty like me cant break one....
