Krisboats
Vista won't need a minimum of 4gb of ram before it'll run it. My mums shitty laptop meets the specs for running vista and its about 3 years old. Not only that but having a piece of software that requires a minimum of one of the latest graphics cards available is going to severely limit the target market of consumers for the new software. The most common graphics card range at the minute is still in the nvidia geforce 6600/6800 range so it seems, according to mr wright, that microsoft have ruled out over 3/4 of their possible market. Not exactly sensible is it?Windows ME minimum requirements: * Min Hard Drive Space: 295 MB * Min Processor Type: Intel Pentium - 150 MHz * Min RAM Size: 32 MB * Peripheral / Interface Devices: Sound card, mouse or compatible device, fax modem, CD-ROMxp minimum requirements: * Min Hard Drive Space: 1.5 GB * Min Processor Type: Intel Pentium - 233 MHz * Min RAM Size: 64 MB * Peripheral / Interface Devices: Mouse or compatible device, CD-ROM, SVGA monitorNotice how the system requirements for windows is hardly a giant leap in hardware specs? So i highly doubt that this new version would jump to 4GB ram, some silly expensive processor and a graphics card that currently costs around £200. If your going to blag make it believable, minimum of: * 1.0ghz processer * 512mb ram * nvidia 5700 or equivalent * hard drive space 3-4 gband a recommended of: * 3.0 ghz processor * 1 gb ram * nvidia 6600 or equivalent * hard disk space 3-4gbwould have gone down much better I think pete might have gotten bored again and decided to tease the new members.
