Hi, Just started trials, I saw some vids of comps and thought it looked awesome and got me a bike off ebay. I wasn't sitting down to bid but I was watching a Monty Lite 231 (2003) and it was local and it was pretty low priced and I couldn't let someone else get it for such a steal so before I knew what my fingers were doing I'd bought it!

Grew up on the early BMX's and then Mountain Bikes, so I can hop and endo and the like, but boy do I need to practise the other stuff.

And as for the vids, I've just caught Phil Feeneys edits recently and he is so fluid, which makes my job even harder - to play catch up.

The bike was in the garage for the winter, (moved house and I have 3 young kids = zero free time) but I've tried to get out on the patio for a few mins at the end of the evening.

Just gathering gloves and shin pads at the moment as my hands are pretty sore and my BMX pizza shins have some new friends.

So that's were I'm upto. Oh and I buggered my left crank arm last night, somehow the pedal became slightly unscrewed and it jumped a thread when I landed on it, great, off to Samways bikes next week to see if they can rescue it.

For Derby riders - where are the good places to meet and ride?

Cheers 35juststartin.

As for your question keep checking in the rides and locations thread.Mostly the masfield and lecsicter crew should come ride with you some time. (Y)
