ogre
There is an advantage to a longer frame, the longer (i think it's) wheelbase (gap from rear axle to bottom bracket) gives you extra leverage hence a higher hop. also the frame is quite light, pleasse bear in mind that getting a zoo python or simmilar frame won't turn you into craig lee scott it just helps alot of the videos you see will have riders that are prety decent regardless of thier frame and general spec, although the length does help

The Duck
Yeah, if up tried to crank-hop and fell off it would be like sky diving (if you used your imagination a bit )
PaRtZ
Im afraid its all bollocksSome people just prefer longer frames to sidehop, others prefer shorter ones. Want an example?CLS rode a monty before zoo (the vid's called tango.mpeg) and the sidehops in that are pretty massive He then changes to python and happens to hop higher. Blame the frame? or perhaps he just got better in general? or the fact hes a massive bloke anyway and was really restricted on a short wheelbase frameMy mate had a koxx LB long and sidehopped 48"....before it snapped Then he picks up a SHORT python and matches it Swings and roundabouts with the geos on every frame. Its mostly personal preferance. The longer chainstay suggestiopn above for gapping further is true, but it also means that theres more bike to manoevure. Some people prefer to just huss the bike up there, instead of travelling (hard to explain) but yeah, PERSONAL PREFERENCE!

granty
f**king talk properly none of this shitty text talk and it is just how you feel riding the bike rather than what other people say.
Mr Monty
Zoo must be very happy that it has worked, sponsoring cls must have been the best thing they have ever done he is a amazing rider thats it! its not the zoo python that makes him good, so every one see's cls doing a massive side hop, drop gap back wheel ect.. and think if only i hade a zoo i could be like that, so they go get a zoo and pratics for agers trying to copy his style and trying to go rely big before they even learn to control the bike. cls used to ride a monty and used to ride in comp's and has got all the tecnical riding sorted but then went on to become a huge street rider thats why he is so good . sorry if none of that makes sense i just went off on one .
