Mark W
I remember Janson doing them before. There's another way you can do it using an existing Powerpad backing for a Magura, and the threaded bolt section from a V-brake pad. You basically cut the V-brake up so you've got the little bit of internal plate that the threaded section's attached to, then attach that to the inside of the Magura backing so the threaded section sticks out of the little hole that the piston's clip usually attaches to. Seemed to work OK for the guy on here who ran it, and probably work out cheaper than these...
3rider3
would those magura backings and pads make a differnece to the power of the brake, i cant see a point in geting the backings??
the judge
would those magura backings and pads make a differnece to the power of the brake, i cant see a point in geting the backings?? It's so that you can use pads which are only made for Maguras on a v-brake
Si-man
Nice, wont they just move about like normal V pads do??I used to do mine up like a b*****d and have to set it up prety much every day, and this was on a front brake, XT calipers with a CD rim.Imagine magura pads and a grind...
