munkee
I always remember firefox used to stop popups coming up right? well nowadays all i ever do is get popups constantly its even worse than IE. Ive run adaware-pro and its just found the usual junk cookies etc but no programs which could be the cause of the problem. Is it the same for everyone else or just me? any solutions? Krisboats
I never get any pop-ups. Well i've had like 3 during the year or so i've been using it. Maybe try looking for a popup blocker on the firefox website?

Mark W
You may wanna try Spybot - Search and Destroy or whatever it is. It found some stuff on my old computer that Ad-aware didn't, and was also able to deal with some stuff better than Ad-Aware could

Monkey
If you have firefox go to the extensions, https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/extensions/download and install:the Adblock extension followed by the Adblock Filterset.G extension which ought to sort most of it out. After this you can right click on ads you don't like and block them. It's best to follow the link to the part where it says /ads/ -or something like that, theres usually something obvious- then add a * afterwards, which blocks anything from that level downwards. You need to be a bit careful not to block stuff you actually WANT to look at, but it's possible to go into adblock options and unblock stuff.Just to round things off, I also use The Proxomitron, from HERE which includes loads of blocking options.Have fun.Oh, and if you haven't got it already, your version of Firefox should be 1.5.0.4 Edited July 3, 2006 by Monkey
