adamtrials
If you are talking about the A2Z dmuni disk adapter, which allows disks to be runon non disk frames the wooly hat shop sell them for about £30, but if you look on xcforums you can get them loads cheaper. I have one here in front of me that i bought last weekfor £17 Woo my 1000th post!
mtl!zz
yes, i'm talking about adapter that allows to put a disk on non disk frame.smt like woodman
adamtrials
yes, i'm talking about adapter that allows to put a disk on non disk frame.smt like woodmanThe woodman one is rubbish as it is really expensive and you pretty much have to use a special woodman hub, the "A2Z Dm-uni" is what you probably need, but it only fits flat plate dropouts. http://www.mbuk.com/Kittestdetails.asp?id=487They are pretty well made, good quality and they are not going to break. If that dosent fit your frame, you could try a hope C2 with a special half caliper for non disk frames (these crop up on ebay occasionally) or get an engineer to make a mount. josh h
i made my own and its perfect !!!! http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g215/smi...rdiskmount2.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g215/smi...eardiskmont.jpg
adamtrials
Wouldnt you have had to strech the dropouts to get that in?Looks as though it could be flexy too with just that thin bit of metal connecting it to the maggy mounts?
josh h
nope absalutly no flex in any way !!! how do you mean strech the dropout ?
adamtrials
how do you mean strech the dropout ?Well presumably instead of having a hub between the dropouts, you now havea hub and a piece of metal between the dropouts. I suppose it depends how tight yourdropouts are without being bolted up, mine are really tight on the hub.
josh h
now im with you ! now with that in its just about perfect for spacing !! the only downside to this is having to take every thing aprt to get the rear wheel out, but its definatly worth it,
mtl!zz
Is it possible to put A 2 Z Rear Adaptor on a 06' zoo python frame?and what does that flat style dropout mean?
bob87
Is it possible to put A 2 Z Rear Adaptor on a 06' zoo python frame?and what does that flat style dropout mean?If the chainstays are anything like the 05 python then, no it won't fit.The part of the frame where the seatstays and the chainstays meet is to big. This means the dropouts look like flat plates welded to the chainstay, your frame has them but they're to big.
