isah
a friend of mine broke his 2 months old koxx xtp.the funny thing is, the frame was only 2 months old and the downtube almost never touched a rail or sth.He made a gap, and his front wheel hit the edge to low, the frame had no direct contact with the edge! .. no flat tire, no bend fork.. the whole frame is shorter now, even the upper tube is compressed.. martin Edited July 2, 2006 by isah
adamtrials
Ouch, can he get a warranty replacement? The wonderful world of tin foil downtubes...
munch8987
If it's only 2 months old, you should give koxx, nse a phonecall, cus as far as im aware, you get a 3 month warranty on the koxx frames. Sorry if this is the wrong information, but that is what im lead to believe.Ben

Hobnobs
Gotta be a manufacturing defect/ material defect, as it would have gone at the weld otherwise.

isah
no, the downtube never touched the edge! The bike was compressed (and cracked) by the impact of the front wheel.

Si-man
You say it hasnt hit the edge, but unless he landed with the back wheel vertically in the air like 'I' then I doubt you could do that!
Simpson
He said his front wheel hit it so must have been travelling pretty fast? rolling gap? and f**ked it muchamondo up

Simon
Just be lucky there wasn't anything electrical on the bike. Probably would of 'caused a small EMP while taking itself out in the process, and killing a few people too, just 'cause its french and thats what it think its path in life is. Unlucky though, must of been some force to do that.
